In Chile there is only 3 master's programs related to Health Information Systems, of which only one is relevant and pertinent to the nursing role. This context drives the proposal to include competences of the area into a nursing undergraduate program, aiming to be a starting point on delivering basic competences to face the future industry, and to facilitate the path for those who want to specialize in the area.
