Description

We report the teaching methods and preliminary outcomes of a novel PhD informatics course designed to teach the health informatician how to better support Interprofessional Collaborative Practice through effective health information technologies. Through the process of interviewing 9 co-faculty representing 9 professions, students (N=3) successfully demonstrated the ability to apply knowledge gained through a real-world HIT design challenge. Results provide insight for the development of a promising approach for educating future health informaticians.
