Description
An evaluative process successfully updated the rubric for a master’s capstone paper in health informatics where students pose as a consultant to review the literature and produce a realistic plan to implement a solution for a simulated case problem. Consensus recommendations by four faculty evaluators included: separate grades for outline, first draft, presentation, final paper, peer evaluation, and reflection; increase course readings and emphasis on project management; and institute final grading by two readers.
