Students in a first year Health Informatics master’s course work together on a team project to develop patient education tools for Personalized Medicine. This applied project teaches students knowledge from the F1, F2, F4, F5, and F6 foundational competency domains, and skills and attitudes from domains F4, F5, F6, and F9. Students also gain experience utilizing online collaborative software tools through the development of an informative website and an infographic visualization.
